The Works of Mercy The Way of the Cross for Children The Our Father and Hail Mary
This great little book has all the Corporal and Spiritual works of mercy explained in a beautiful way for children.  Each two page spread has a picture of a child doing one of the works of mercy on one side and an explanation on the other side.  There is so much in this book for so little. A wonderful 32-page book to introduce your family from youngest to oldest to the Stations of the Cross, which is one of the oldest Lenten devotions in the Church.  Full-color classic pictures of the Stations, with the prayers for the leader and response, and English words to the verse of the Stabat Mater for each station.  This is essentially an illustrated prayer book for the whole family, at a price that you can afford to get one for each of you!  Includes the 14 traditional stations plus a 15th station for the Resurrection. The story opens with 10-year-old Tom Playfair being quite a handful for his well-meaning but soft-hearted aunt. (Tom's mother has died.) Mr. Playfair decides to ship his son off to St. Maure's boarding school--an all-boys academy run by Jesuits--to shape him up, as well as to help him make a good preparation for his upcoming First Communion. Tom is less than enthusiastic, but his adventures are just about to begin. Life at St. Maure's will not be dull! In this volume, Tom Playfair meets a new boy just arriving at St. Maure's. Percy Wynn has grown up in a family of 10 girls and only 1 boy--himself! His manners are formal, he talks like a book, and he has never played baseball or gone skating, boating, fishing, or even swimming! Yet he has brains, courage and high Catholic ideals. Tom and his buddies at St. Maure's befriend Percy and have a great time as they all work at turning Percy into an all-American Catholic boy. Young Harry Dee arrives at St. Maure's thin and pale from his painful experiences involving the murder of his rich uncle. In this last book of the three, Tom and Percy help Harry recover from his early trauma--which involves solving "the mystery of Tower Hill Mansion." After many wild experiences, the three boys graduate from St. Maure's and head toward the life work to which God is calling each of them as young men.

Fr Finn 4: Claude Lightfoot Fr Finn 5: That Football Game Fr Finn 6: Ethelred Preston
The story opens upon Claude Lightfoot, a reckless 12 year old boy who constantly acts first and thinks later. After being in clash with some bullies, Claude is obliged to miss his First Communion. In the course of the story, Fr. Finn manages to cover a host of topics, including smoking, drinking, the devil, Confession, Holy Communion, retaining one s Baptismal innocence, the 9 First Fridays, the priesthood, mothers and sisters, truthfulness, lying, courage, effeminacy, atheism, sacrilege, baseball, Americanism (true and false), Latin, virtue, honor, leadership, etc. This book features Claude and many other characters from Claude Lightfoot. Again, Fr. Finn covers a host of Catholic topics, giving a ringing defense of the game of football and presenting a great picture of the All-American boy. See the Catholic Faith woven into everyday life, the way it should be. Puts the right kind of role models before the eyes of our boys! Interesting to read, enthralling, hard to put down -- not only for young people, but for adults as well! In this book, the new kid certainly livens things up at Henryton boarding academy! Again, Fr. Finn covers a host of Catholic topics and presents a great picture of the All-American boy!

Saint 1: The Children of Fatima Saint 2: The Cure of Ars Saint 3: Therese the Little Flower
"What if nothing happens on the 13th? Aren't you afraid people will laugh at you?" asked the parish priest as he looked closely at 10-year-old Lucia. "Oh no, Father!" replied Lucia. "I know something wonderful is going to happen on the 13th. The Lady told us so." This book tells what happened and gives the wonderful story of Our Lady's appearances to little Jacinta, Francisco and Lucia. So you've decided to give in to the Devil, said the parish priest. John started back in dismay. Oh no, Father! But you just told me you were giving up your studies for the priesthood, responded Father Balley. This book tells what took place next, plus the many adventures that met young St. John Vianney when he set out to become a priest and ended up one of the Church's most famous saints. The story of St. Therese, for children 10 and up, and of her "Little Way of Spiritual Childhood," whereby she would say "yes" to whatever Our Lord asked of her, and how she thereby became a great Saint.

Saint 4: Imelda Patron Saint of First Communicants Saint 5: St Catherine Laboure, the Miraculous Medal Saint 6: St Louis de Montfort
Gifts were piled high for 5-year-old Imelda's birthday. Imelda was delighted, but still she asked, "I was wondering if I could have just one more present." "Greedy girl!" laughed her father. Unfortunately, her parents could not give her this one present--Our Lord in Holy Communion. But Imelda decided to ask Our Lord Himself. What would He reply? This book gives the answer and tells how little Imelda came to be the Patroness of First Communicants. "Sister, it couldn't have happened!" declared the priest. "It was all a dream, like the other time." But Sister Catherine was sure she had truly seen Our Lady. And then Our Lady came again! Would the priest ever believe her--and would he ever have the Medals made, as Our Lady has asked? Here are the answers and the wonderful story of what happened when the Blessed Virgin Mary came to St. Catherine Laboure. St. Louis De Montfort. Though written for children 12 and older, this is also the best biography for adults of St. Louis De Montfort, the "Apostle of Mary," famous preacher and author of True Devotion to Mary and The Secret of the Rosary.

Saint 7: St Rose of Lima Saint 8: St Martin de Porres
St. Rose of Lima. The story for children 10 and up of St. Rose of Lima, who became a hermit in her own home--rather than go to a convent--and how she became a great Saint. At her confirmation in 1597, she took the name of Rose, because, when an infant, her face had been seen transformed by a mystical rose. As a child she was remarkable for a great reverence, and pronounced love, for all things relating to God. St. Martin De Porres. The story for children 10 and up of St. Martin de Porres, who helped heal people, spoke to the animals and worked many unusual miracles. A fantastic story of a South American saint, whose example in helping others is truly inspiring.
