Simple non-graphic illustrations don’t water down the story but are not overly shocking or disturbing.
These coloring books are great pictures depicting the journey to Calvary with Jesus. Mailing was prompt and packed very good.
Thanks!
Fun Activity! Bi-lingual a plus at my parish
This is an excellent way for my children, who love to color, to reflect on the Passion of our Lord
It was great to use them for activities for Good Friday. Kids truly enjoyed them and so did I!
Meditate. On the Passion of Christ
We will be using this along with the MP3 download to do stations as a family!
My boys 4-1/2 and 2-1/2 years will color in these and pray along during our family rosary. Particularly helpful during lent as we meditate on the sorrowful mysteries! Thanks for a great resource!
Very nice quality coloring book. The pictures to color are a good size. The caption under the pictures are informative. My special needs child (teenager) likes coloring the pages. The order I placed was delivered quickly. We have enjoyed the Lenten Adventures program for several years now. Keep up the great job!
This is a lovely little coloring book that we'll be using to learn and think about the Stations of the Cross with my three-year-old this Lent. My only slight disappointment is in the overlap in the images with those in the Passion of Jesus coloring book we already have. Sure, many of them have "updated" faces/features, but basically the same page to color. We love the illustrations in these books though!
We have searched for a bi-lingual Stations of the Cross coloring books to give out to the children when we pray the Stations of the Cross this lent. This is exactly what we need. Thank you!!
The passion of our Savior is beautifully done in this coloring book. Adults and children will be blessed by this book long after Lent is over!
This coloring book is such a wonderful Lenten companion for my little ones! It helps them follow along and participate more during the Stations of the Cross. Truly beautiful illustrations for them to color and meditations in both English and Spanish. I will continue to buy this as long as it's offered!
Thank you so much for making these books available. They are amazing. I had planned to just give them to my students this year as a prize for good work. After seeing the quality and content I plan to use them as a teaching tool for the Stations of the Cross and then giving each student their own book at that time. Finding good material to use in my classroom is not always easy, but I can always count on Holy Heroes! Thank you so much for all you do. God bless you for all your effort.
beautiful, detailed, reverent
The black line illustrations were very modern and appealing to the kids. This helped in their preparation for Easter.
This coloring book also helps the story come to life. I love that Holy Heroes does this because it is very easy for children, and sometime adults, to get distracted and pray the rosary or the stations without really understanding the mysteries. It makes it easier to keep at the forefront of your mind while you are praying and thinking about what Jesus went through. I also really love the CD that goes with this. I will definately be purchasing the prayer book to follow along at a later date.
We've been using these with my 3- and 5-year-old girls. They color along while listening to the Stations CD, which helps them to comprehend what is happening while praying the stations of the cross.
The Road to Calvary coloring book is a great way for the kids to contemplate the Stations of the Cross. The meaning soaks in while they are coloring & leads to further inquiry/discussion. The drawing are well done & the descriptions of each station are informative. Bought for my kids 8,6, & 3. Good for all ages!
Thank you, Holy Heroes!
coloring book is great.
Shipping was a bit high!
This book is written in a way my children can understand how much Jesus loves them, to the point where he suffered and died to save them.
My favorite part of Lent are participating in the Stations. I really like having them on CD w/the Stabat Mater.
My three sons ages 7, 6, and 3 love their stations of the cross coloring books! They have colored in them every day since they arrived in the mail, and on Friday they colored while listening to the Holy Heroes stations of the Cross audio CD. We are huge fans of all your materials! Thanks!
It's great to be able to have religious colouring books to help children learn about their faith and the faith and lives of the Saints.
Perfect with the CD of the Stations of the Cross!
This was good.
Excellent Pictures! Very good for classrooms that have English and Spanish speakers.
stations of the cross collection
Very engaging, and my emergent reader is able to read along, while her little sister colors. A great way to introduce this devotion to young children and fit it in our family life.
Part of my family is in The Netherlands for 2 years. I sent them an email about your Apostolate and they are trying to share your work and the CD's with others. Many are Catholic over there, by birth, and go to Church Christmas and Easter. My family are in hopes that they in some small way can brings souls to Christ. Your Apostolate has given them a great tool! Blessed be God!
I have been a 2nd grade catechist for over 10 years. Because we are preparing for First Eucharist, we often don't have classtime to pray the Stations of the Cross. I have found this to be a wonderful alternative. Last year, I sent the books home with the kids to share with their families. They were so excited, and returned with many positive comments! An big bonus is the Spanish text, as many of my students come from homes where English is the second language. The text is very well written, and it ends on the hopeful note of waiting for Easter Sunday. Pictures are great! I'm ordering more now for this year.
