A Little Catholic's Book of Liturgical Colors board book

We all love this book. Rhyming words, easy explanations to the different colors used in the Church throughout the year.

Wonderful explanations for kids as well as grownups

With bright colors and simple, rhyming text, this is the perfect introduction to the colors of the Church for young children. In simple terms and visuals that young children can grasp, it identifies colors with seasons and practices that children will recognize, like the candles on the Advent wreath. Some extra information at the end will help parents answer specific questions about when such colors are used. A wonderful addition to any Catholic child's library!

A beautiful, traditional-style board book of the liturgical seasons!

I am so in love with this board book! We just got it a few days ago and already have read it many times! Even as an adult, I really enjoyed the story and it was such a nice review of the liturgical seasons and colors. I wish I had something like this when I was growing up! I feel like both "veteran" Catholics and new Catholics would love this and find it educational.

Storyline: The book is rhyming and has a really nice flow to it! Not too long and wordy for little ones, just long enough! The story introduces the different colors of the "seasons" of the Catholic Church, making a connection to nature. I was very impressed with the way each season was described. The text itself is also a nice, big font making it easy to read.

Illustration: Each liturgical color rhyme takes up two pages. The illustration is big, full page bright and colorful images! Very eye-catching! It keeps the attention of my active little one who spends a lot of time looking at each page. On the bottom left corner of each page is a circle with the image of the priest lifting the Eucharist and clearly showing the color of the chasuble (priest's vestment). The right side of the page is a picture of a child with some sort of symbol for the season. I liked that the images were cartoon but not too babyish (if that makes sense). Very beautifully done and good representation of different ethnicities.

BONUS: At the end is a little 2 page Question & Answer section which gives more depth to what season the colors go with and why. Although it is a board book, this feels like a book that can grow with the child. Would be an excellent book to read before Mass and then ask your child what color they saw and what do they remember the color symbolizes/means. I'd also note that this is a great book if you are just getting back into your faith. Overall, a very well thought out little book!

Simple explanation of colors of priest's vestments for little ones.

This book was very nice in its quality, colorfulness, brightness, cleaness.
But I wasn't expecting the Latin Mass syle verses the Novus Ordo. It would have been nice had both been used.

My granddaughter cued into the color of the vestments since she was 12 months old. Now, at age 4, this book helps in teaching about the significance of the color in relation to the liturgical year. I like the cute rhyming verse, too!

My children love to pull this out at the start of every Mass and match it up to what Father is wearing and the older kids will read to the younger ones what the color means and the season we are in.

A very cute board book and yet really knowledgeable. The colors are so vibrant and I love the rhyming. Perfect amount of words per page for littles. I got it for my godson and can’t wait for him to get it!!

I bought this as a gift for a baby in our church who will be celebrating the first anniversary of her Baptism soon. I think it will be great to get material like this in the hands of our young families.

I don't care how old you are, a board book is extremely non intimidating! Lets learn what these colors represent! Love it!

A very easy way to teach young children liturgical seasons. And a new "church book" to bring to Mass. Honestly, I've ordered very many products from Holy Heroes and I've never been disappointed.

This book is great for teaching infants and toddlers about the liturgical colors.
